Indigo Manufacturing, an international leader in state-of-the-art audio amplifiers and power electronics, was acquired by Sonavox International Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong stock exchange listed designer and manufacturer of loudspeaker systems.
Crosbie acted as financial advisor to Indigo, initiated the transaction and assisted in the negotiations.
The Transaction
Indigo Manufacturing Inc., a family controlled private company based in Markham, Ontario, was recently acquired by Sonavox International Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong stock exchange listed company based in Jiangsu Province, China. In identifying Sonavox, Crosbie conducted a targeted worldwide search of strategic buyers in the consumer electronics industry using its IMAP partners in 14 countries. Our search generated significant interest from major players in North America and Asia. This process, conducted on a highly confidential basis, was designed to create a competitive environment that helped to maximize value for Indigo shareholders.
This highly synergistic transaction combined Indigo's attractive design capabilities, technology and customer list with Sonavox's large scale manufacturing operations, strong OEM relationships and deep financial resources.
As advisor to Indigo, Crosbie initiated the transaction, managed a successful international sale process, assisted in negotiations, and provided advice on all business matters relating to the transaction.
