Ed Giacomelli has over 25 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance and capital markets, having advised numerous clients on domestic and cross-border M&A, advisory and financing engagements across a variety of industries. His clients have included entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, boards of directors and public and private companies located in Canada and abroad. Prior to Crosbie, Ed held senior positions as Managing Director and Head of the Toronto office of Rothschild, the global investment banking firm, and as Managing Director at CIBC World Markets. Prior to investment banking, he held positions in corporate and commercial banking at Bank of Nova Scotia and Continental Bank of Canada (now HSBC) respectively. Ed is a past director of WIC Western International Communications and several private companies. Ed has also been a guest speaker on capital markets issues, and has been a frequent media commentator on M&A trends. Presently, he is a member of the President's Council of St. Michael's Hospital Foundation in Toronto. Ed received an Honors Business Administration degree and MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
